How we use your platform data
what2post connects to TikTok and YouTube through their official developer APIs, read-only, with your explicit authorization:
- TikTok (Login Kit + Display API): your basic profile (display name, avatar) to show which account is connected, and your own videos' metadata and statistics (views, likes, comments, shares) to build your baseline and track performance.
- YouTube Data API: your channel details and publicly available metadata and statistics for your videos, used to build your baseline and track performance.
- We never post, edit, or delete anything on your accounts, and we never access other users' private data.
You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which revokes our access. You can also revoke from your TikTok or Google security settings directly. Disconnecting deletes your platform data from our servers within 30 days.
Frequently asked questions
Why relative multiples instead of view counts?
100k views is a flop for a million-follower account and a breakout for a small one. Everything in what2post is measured against your own account's median — that's what makes predictions comparable and calibration possible.
How accurate are the predictions?
Honest answer: they start rough. Cold-start predictions are 'for the record'. The value compounds — every settled prediction becomes a calibration pair for your account, and the trust level on your dashboard tells you exactly how much to rely on them.
Is my data safe?
Access tokens are stored encrypted, all access is read-only through official APIs, and your per-account data is never shown to other users. See our Privacy Policy for details.
